The permanent review tribunal, a judicial body of the MERCOSUR named Javier Parquet as their president on the 16 of December of 2019. The protocol act took place on the tribunal office of Asuncion.
The presidency will be exercise for the period of one year, the president carries the responsibility to supervise the correct application and interpretation of the international law making this job fundamental for the institution.
